Privacy policy

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, telephone number, delivery address and order details. When you browse the site we collect anonymous usage data such as pages viewed, products viewed and basket activity, linked only to a random session identifier stored in your browser.

We never see or store your full card number — payments are processed by our payment provider.

To fulfil your order and provide customer support (performance of a contract); to keep accounting and VAT records (legal obligation); to improve the shop and recover abandoned baskets where you have given us your email at checkout (legitimate interests); and to send marketing only where you have opted in (consent).

We share the minimum necessary data with delivery carriers, our payment provider, and our hosting and database providers, all of whom act under contract. We never sell your personal data.

Order and invoice records are kept for six years to meet HMRC requirements. Anonymous analytics data is retained for 24 months. Abandoned basket records are deleted after 90 days.

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email support@northgatemusic.shop. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
