Is the price shown inclusive of VAT?

Yes. Every price on Northgate Music Co. includes UK VAT at 20%, and a full VAT invoice is emailed with your dispatch confirmation. There are no import duties or handling fees on UK orders.

Will it need a set-up when it arrives?

No. Our workshop completes a full set-up before dispatch — truss rod, action, intonation and fresh strings — and includes the measurements in the box. UK humidity changes may call for a small seasonal tweak later on.

What happens if I don't get on with it?

You have 30 days from delivery to return it for a full refund. We email you a free UK return label, and refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5 working days of the item arriving back with us.

What warranty cover is included?

Two years parts and labour against manufacturing defects, on top of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Consumables such as strings, reeds, heads and batteries are covered for 90 days.

PRS has outdone themselves with the SE Starla. It has everything you look for in a solidbody electric guitar — it's lightweight and sounds excellent plugged in. As a matter of fact, the SE Starla is so fun to play that you'll struggle to put it down. It all starts with a nicely balanced mahogany body with an asymmetric-beveled edge for comfort. A set-in mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard come next, facilitating hours of effortless playability. Once the guitar is assembled and receives its finish, a pair of DS-02 humbucking pickups are loaded in, giving the guitar a unique voice with excellent articulation. On the hardware side, the instrument is topped off with a Grover 2-piece Stoptail providing customizable intonation, plus PRS-designed modern tuners to provide it with flash and stability.

Comfortably carved body design

Ask any of the guitar players at Irvine Art & Music, and they'll tell you that comfort is one of the main features they look for on an electric guitar. We're pleased to report that the SE Starla's carved body promotes playing comfort. The body has a beveled edge that's gentle on your forearm. Aside from being comfy, the SE Starla sounds fantastic, too! Made from profoundly resonant mahogany, it provides a stable, balanced tone.

DS-02 pickups for a gamut of tones

The SE Starla is loaded with a pair of DS-02 humbucking pickups. Inspired by the pickups loaded into the US-made Starlas, DS-02 pickups provide a distinctive sound with a crisp attack and clean sustain. You'll also love the streamlined 3-way pickup selector switch. Factor in the push-pull coil-splitting capability, and the SE Starla can create almost any tone you can conjure up.
